What follows over the next few pages is a selection of the weapons used by the German Army during WW2 and would have been used by the men of the 116th Panzer Division. It is by no means a definitive list, but we have tried to include the weapons that we currently have in the group, obviously these are legally held blank firing or deactivated weapons or quality model weapons and where possible we have attempted to show them in context. "After a massive barrage, an attack by the opponent. At the right wing of the company, the opponent comes to a halt, closely in front of the main battle line. Taking along the wounded, he pulls back during the night. The Americans achieved a breach on the left wing, at the northwestern edge of Würselen. With support from our tanks and with the participation of 2nd Platoon, 5th Company, the opponent is thrown back in a counterattack. Our Panzer IVs destroyed two Sherman tanks."

Oberleutnant Jürgen Löffler, Commander, 5th Company, Panzer Grenadier Regiment 156, 16 October 1944
